By allowing virtual content into the exhibition space, Augmented Reality has challenged the role of cultural institutions, and has opened up new, sometimes dissident, avenues for visitors to engage with museum collections. AR can also be used to challange dominating narratives and weave new meanings by recontextualising artworks.
In this workshop, students will learn how to augment artworks with virtual overlays, and explore ways to expand the audience’s perception using Augmented Reality.
